Carlos- Trainer

I first met Steve shortly after High School with the intentions of getting my dog trained. Before too long I was working as a Decoy catching protection and police K-9's. As well as learning to manage a kennel and most importantly the a true art form of not just dog training, but animal behaviorism. In the past eight years I have experienced a wide spectrum of jobs and schools. But the one thing that has remand constant was my return to dog training and working with Steve.

Far aside from the adventures, unique people I've met, and wonderful experiences I have found working as a trainer, the greatest gift I have received is piece of mind. And that piece of mind is knowing that I can go any were in the world and earn a honest living as my own employer. That is a freedom and luxury not many can claim. Training was very much like other trades that I had explored over the years, I started out in charge of cleaning kennels and had to learn if I expected to work my way up. What was different with dog training was that I could see accomplishments daily, even if they were nothing more than small passing moments in time with the dogs I was learning to work with. I have also come to see that in my short time learning from Steve, I have gained the knowledge that has allowed me to out-train and out-class not only the so called "professional" Dog Trainers offered by large corporate chains as well as trainers from all over the world whom, in many situations have 20 years of experience in handling dogs. The over-all lack of technique paired with misreading the dogs behavior correctly makes them look like amateurs. I have watched trainers from all over the world come to Steve. With hopes of learning how to train and work independently or become an associate trainer.

Today, I am working as a Senior Trainer and Instructor, as well as a Kennel Master. I have been certified as a Training Instructor in the following ; On and Off-Leash Obedience and Problem solving. I have also be certified in Narcotics/weapons/money detection Training.

And I am currently undergoing Training for; agitation work, decoy work, Sentry dogs , guard dog work, police K-9 work just to name few and not to mention all the other knowledge that I continue to gather not just on dogs, but on animals in general.
