Nearly nine years ago
I brought my lab puppy to Steve for training.
Even though I was amazed at his training ability, I was convinced
that my dog could not be trained. In a few short weeks she had
destroyed my beautiful landscaping and everything else in her path.
She then began knawing, chewing on, and displaying dominant/
aggressive behavior with my 5 year old daughter and myself. It was
about this time that she had three paws out the door!
In desperation, I began obedience training with Kona my the lab and
Steve. I started with three private lessons, at which time I gave my
dog to Steve for " Doggie Boot Camp." It was at this time that I
began training with Steve to become a trainer myself. Kona and I
were both in Boot Camp!
When Kona came home from training she was AMAZING! She is still the
same crazy dog, but more well mannered than most humans I know. Since
then she and I have learned agility, SAR(search and rescue), family
protection/ body guard work, narcotics/weapons, and money
detection!!! If that's not enough, she is also certified as a service
dog. We've been everywhere together. She's my best, most loyal friend
in the world!
Our family has grown since then. We now have Natasha the Doberman,
Pele the white shepherd, and Lola the chihuahua. All are well
mannered ladies!!
For almost nine years I have been training dogs by Steve's side and
have had some of the most rewarding times of my life. It has been one
adventure after another! Each day even now I will learn something I
didn't know yesterday.
Through Steve's training I have had the pleasure to become an animal
trainer/behaviorist/ instructor, and groomer. The best part though
was the gift of the bond that Kona and I have. It is a gift that is
now my pleasure to give. Thank you Steve!
