Since flashlights were invented 120 years ago,
they really haven't changed much. A common
flashlight is still built around the BATTERIES,
consisting of a tube with a light bulb at one
end, batteries inside and a switch that turns it
on and off.
In 2004, First-Light decided to challenge that
tradition.
Simply put, we design flashlights that AREN'T
BUILT AROUND THE BATTERIES but rather,
around YOU. The result is a light that lets you act
and react as if you weren't carrying a light
at all.
It's hands-free.
So you don't have to hold your flashlight
in the palm of your hand.
It's hands-enabling.
So you can use your hands
as you normally would.
It's hands-directed.
So you can easily direct light
wherever you want it.

A FLASHLIGHT
First-Light
FIRST-LI
GHT?
WHY FIRST-LIGHT?
Full Use of Your Hands.
Magazine changes. Malfunction clearing.
Bicycle patrols. Handcuffing. Ladder climbing.
They all have one thing in common: they can be
done more quickly, easily and safely with First light
ON your hand, instead of a stick-light IN your hand.
Always Staged for Ready.
First-Light takes your light out of your holster and
stages it where it's most useful on your hand. It
means your light will always be available when you
need it, so you'll never have to look back and wish
you'd had your flashlight ready.
Two-Hand Firearm Grip.
In the dark and under stress, accuracy matters
most it's no time for the clumsy, one-handed
flashlight shooting techniques that we seldom
practice. First-Light enables you to use a light
with the same sure-handed, two-hand firearm
grip you know and trust.
First-Light products are designed first for law
enforcement, military and other professionals. This
specialized approach allows us to design
application-specific solutions that precisely fit the
demands of your job.
Fast Weapon Transitions.
First-Light enables you to easily and instantly
switch between weapons. Because First-Light is
based on your hand, not on your weapon, you'll be
able to quickly choose the weapon that's most
appropriate for the situation, while always
maintaining control of your light (No more
stowing your tubelight in your mouth, armpit
or crook of the neck).
CAPABILITIES
IT'S NOT WHAT OUR LIGHT CAN DO.
IT'S WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH OUR LIGHT.
ENHANCED
CAPABILITIES
Two-handed shooting, bicycle patrols, handling
canines, handcuffing subjects, performing
searches, climbing and much more the
performance-enhancing designs of First-Light can
make you more effective and safe at any task.
Much like the original angle-head flashlight used
for years by the U.S. military, Liberator and
Tomahawk are designed to always put light in a
useful direction, without having to manually "point"
your flashlight. Whether positioned on your hand, on
your belt, attached to MOLLE-compatible gear,
tucked in a pocket, clipped to a car visor or even
placed on a flat surface, our lights are created to
give you more light, directed to where you need
it most.

The Choice of K-9 Professionals.
First-Light USA is proud to be the choice of K-9
officers across North America. In 2007, our
Liberator Tactical Light was issued to all K-9
handlers in the United States Border Patrol.
Today, hundreds of USBP K-9 Officers have
discovered the hands-enabling advantages of
First-Light products, and we look forward to
serving their needs even more in the future.
The Alternative to Weaponlights.
It's a comment we hear all the time
"Why not just use a weapon-mounted light?"
Weaponlights definitely have their place in
extreme tactical situations, such as SWAT, where
the potential for engagement at gunpoint and live
fire is high. But most professionals and civilians
are held to a higher standard of discretion and
most uses for a flashlight, even by law
enforcement, do not include pointing your gun
along with your flashlight. "Using your weapon as
a handle for your flashlight" can often lead to
citizen complaints, lawsuits, injury (or worse),
from unintentional discharges while your muzzle
is pointed in unsafe directions.
First-Light offers the best of both worlds. Our
Safe-Search
TM
method allows you to safely
keep your light forward and your muzzle

OUR TRAINING PARTNERS
The ergonomic, angle-head designs of First-Light
tactical lights give you more intuitive control
when it's in your hands, AND, that same
practicality applies to you, even when the light
is worn or stored.
Granted, the "tube-shaped" design of traditional
flashlights does allow for convenient, passive
stowage in a holster. But turn it on in its holster,
and how valuable is it? It points in one of three,
completely useless directions: into the bottom
of the holster, to the ground, or into your
armpit. So, yes, it's easy to stow, but highly
ineffective when holstered and difficult when
in your hand.
Liberator and Tomahawk are the only
flashlights that work for you, whether
"tactically" staged on your hand or "practically"
stowed elsewhere.The 90-degree angle head
allows the light to be oriented "forward" into
your area of concern when worn on your hand,
clipped to your gear, in your pocket, on your belt
or stowed in their holsters. It's active, dynamic
and READY at all times.
First-Light tactical lights: "Staged," not stowed;
"Active," not passive.
