Are you an animal nut between the age 8 and 17? Have you thought about becoming a veterinarian, canine behavior specialist, animal trainer, groomer, maybe a pet store or kennel owner? Manager in a corporate pet store? Are you looking to get into manufacturing or product development? Do you love the idea of serving your community, helping our troops that have physical or mental disabilities and others? In challenging and exciting ways while having fun? Earning real world certificates that can and should be used in pursuit of employment .Then this is the Kamp for you!
Developed, directed and facilitated by fifth generation Master Animal Trainer and behaviorist Steve Welch, and by credentialed Doctors, Ph.D.s. Animal Control Officials, and Professional Animal Trainers/Behaviorists, Kampers learn a wide variety of valuable skills while building self-esteem, sense of responsibility, patience, and leadership abilities.
These skills include learning:
- world-class training techniques
- to read, understand and proactively respond to animal behavior
- about proper care, nutrition, and safety measures for a variety of animals
- how to bathe an animal, trim birds' wings, beaks, and nails, trim dog and cat nails, and many additional ways to keep our furry and feathered friends healthy, clean, and parasite free using safe and natural means
- to become active in your community with charity events, school penny drives, flyer campaigns and recycling programs
- to rehabilitate rescue dogs from local shelters and from natural disaster areas, such as New Orleans
- to train service dogs for senior citizens, veterans of foreign wars and the disabled
- to train Federal Disaster Dogs, First Responders, Search and Rescue, Life Guard, and Law Enforcement dogs
- to train dogs used by the soldiers in the Middle East
