Rainbow's really not going to the dogs, however the dogs are going to
Rainbow.
At Steve Welch & Associates K-9 Training Facilities, dogs are schooled for
protection, competition showing (in security skills) and as companions for
those with special needs.
They are amazing! First in ways that they have been trained to react and
also in ways in which their distinctive abilities are utilized.
Below left: Annette Reichert with "Sheena". Sheena is being trained as a
companion dog in an unusual service. Reichert is epileptic and Sheena can
respond with a special 911 call. Also she is aware of potential seizure
activity before Reichert feels the oncoming of the event. According to
Reichert, apparently the dog smells the chemical changes which proceed a
seizure and warns her companion.
